2017 DIOCESAN SCHOOL FEES

The amounts listed below cover costs for a full school year of 40 weeks (for Year 11) or school year of 30 weeks (for Year 12), but are only billed in three (3) terms. Full payment is required each term by the due date shown on the school account. Payment arrangements are available on request.

Annual Diocesan Tuition Fees can be paid upfront at the start of the year or as three equal payments in Terms 1, 2 and 3. 

Sibling discounts apply to Diocesan Tuition Fees payable by a family. Families enrolling more than one child in a Catholic systemic school will automatically receive a 25% discount for the second child, 50% for the third child and 100% for the fourth and subsequent children.

All families are required to pay the annual Diocesan Building Levy. This levy has replaced the various building levies that parents previously paid to school building funds (managed by either parishes or schools). The money collected from the levy is paid into a fund from which building costs and loan repayments for these schools are paid. The levy is not tax deductible.

LOYOLA SENIOR SCHOOL-BASED FEES

In addition to the Diocesan Tuition Fee and Building Levy listed above, there are school-based charges designed to cover resources, technology, subject costs, and compulsory activities incurred by Loyola Senior High School (school-based fees).

School-based fees charged cover the direct costs incurred by the school for resources, technology, subjects and compulsory activities (such as excursions & retreats for compulsory subjects, full-school pastoral incursions, careers day, picnic day, urban challenge, etc).

LOYOLA TRADE TRAINING CENTRE SCHOOL-BASED FEES

In addition to the Diocesan Tuition Fee and Building Levy listed above, there are charges for students enrolled in the Trade Training Centre designed to cover resources, technology, subject costs, and compulsory activities incurred by Loyola Trade Training Centre (school-based fees).

NOTE
Compulsory Orientation Activities – during Orientation Week, students are involved in a First Aid course (cost $75) and a White Card course (cost $25). The costs of these activities are covered by the $100 enrolment fee paid prior to orientation. If your child already had a current first aid certificate and/or white card, these costs have been receipted against your school-based fees for Term 1.

Payment options

Acceptable methods of payment are by cash, cheque, EFTPOS, direct debit, BPAY, Postbillpay, credit card and Centrelink deductions.

Payment Arrangements

Families who are unable to pay fees by the due date must contact the Business Manager as soon as possible. We are able to offer families a payment arrangement to pay school fees on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, over an extended time.

Financial difficulty

Families who are experiencing genuine financial hardship and are unable to fully pay school fees must contact the Business Manager as soon as possible. We may be able to offer a concession to families who submit relevant documents and attend an assessment interview. Please note that unless an assessment is done, you will be liable for full amount of school fees. These matters will be treated confidentiality, and will not affect your child’s education.

Notice to withdraw a student

Please note that a term’s notice in writing must be given to the principal before the removal of a student or a full term’s fees will be payable.
